Mario Lepage, otherwise known as “The Master of the Loops”, innovates
and crafts a universe of his own, reaching the core of each and every
listener down to their own separate individualism. The Fransaskois
singer-songwriter has opened for some of Eastern Canada’s biggest
francophone acts including Ariane Moffatt, Karkwa (Polaris prize
winner), Radio Radio and Les Hay Babies. Lepage will be representing
Western Canada at the Festival International de la chanson this fall –
an annual international songwriting competition and festival held in
Granby, Québec. Whether he performs as a solo act or with his
psychedelic band, the multi-instrumentalist hones an energetic
performance that blends catchy melodies, deep synths, dreamy lyricism as
well as phat rhythm and bass.
