Murray McDonnell and Ross Ulmer will be returning to The Root with an exciting launch to the 2014-15 jazz season. Replacing this sessions’ open mic is a special invitation to four Lloydminster Vocalists who will provide a Jazz Diva night of music!
Trish McDonough has been laying low recently and will be the stage to share her talent! Our region is also well familiar with Carmela McDonald who has been singing jazz with with Tangerine Blue with a voice reminiscent of Canadian super star Diana Krall. Lashburn’s very own Katie Thackeray will be on the stage with an energy all her own and to added to the list is Rita Giraudier, an accomplished country singer who will bring a couple of Jazz Standards to life.
The music will begin with a supper set starting at 6:30 pm followed by a lively second set at 8:00 pm. (Reservations not required, but strongly suggested!)
