The Lloydminster Region Health Foundation is hoping to give a
local musician/small group the opportunity to play during its 13th
annual fundraising gala.
The “Intimate Evening with the Health Foundation” Gala raises funds to enhance health care within the community. This year’s gala will be called The 1920s – A Gatsby Adventure and will focus on jazz, ragtime and Broadway musicals of the era.
The gala will take place on Friday, Nov. 1 and performances will be from 7pm to 8:30pm. Musicians must be aged 19 and over and can be solo artists, duos, jazz trios or quartets (small groups/bands) playing jazz, ragtime, banjo, or Broadway show tunes of the era. Only one musician/group will be chosen.
Auditions for the event will take place at The Root Community Emporium on Tuesday Aug. 20 starting at 8pm.
This is a volunteer position. Seats will be provided for the band performing that evening.
For more information or to book an audition contact Carissa Smith, development officer for the Lloydminster Health Foundation, at (306) 820-6161 or email her at Carissa.smith@pnrha.ca.
