History of the ‘Louisiana Hayride Show’
The Louisiana Hayride was a live Radio Show, broadcast over KWKH Radio out of Shreveport Louisiana and ran successfully from 1948 to 1960. It was instrumental in establishing the careers of such artists as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Marty Robins, Jim Reeves , Roy Orbison, and many other legends.Our rendition in story and song takes you back to those days and into the studio, complete with on AIR light and full stage set , where you become part of the studio audience. It's is an experience you will remember. Find out why Roy Orbison wore dark sun glasses. Where, when and by whom the phrase "Elvis has left the building" was first spoken.
